Scholarship
Dilara-Mujib stipend, a scholarship worth Tk 0.4 million, has been launched on August 2014 for the students of the Department of Government and Politics of Jahangirnagar University (JU).
Marking the event, a launching ceremony was held at the teachers’ lounge of the central cafeteria at about 2:30pm, arranged by the department with its Departmental Head Prof Bashir Ahmed in chair.
A total of 10 meritorious students from Honours first year to Masters have been given the cheques of Tk 18,000 which will be given in instalments for next two years in monthly basis.
Dilara Rahman, wife of late Mujibur Rahman, inaugurated the scholarship distribution programme as chief guest.
The stipend is launched as one of the charitable activities of the Dinajpur based Dilara-Mujib Foundation.
